Another Dresser Overhaul

Okay, seems I'm not only in love with chevron but also any chance to get crafty. I love the mapped dresser below from Wisteria so I did some searching and found a tutorial so you can get the same effect yourself.

Chevy

I love the look of chevron and have to talk myself out of buying everything with it imprinted on it, but I came across a really easy how-to and can't wait to try it out on my unsuspecting dresser!

Product Crush: Luxury Monograms Throw Pillows

pink chevron

I love these pillows from Luxury Monograms; they come in so many different colors and patterns and are well within a 20-something's decorating budget. These will certainly solve the problem of being unable to find the perfect throw pillow for my couch!

Product Crush: Soundview Millworks Boards

These cutting and serving boards from Soundview Millworks are absolutely gorgeous! I can see them on a boat as you're sailing along or at a steeple chase tailgate. There are cleat and bit accent options, the chance to monogram and personalize, and other home wares to choose from. I'm going to have a hard time picking a favorite!

Teagan and Dad's Birthday Party

A couple weeks ago we celebrated my niece's and dad's birthdays (they share the same day!) at the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center in Grasonville, MD. Friends and family joined for a casual get-together; there was bbq, corn hole, and beautiful protected views of the Chesapeake Bay.

Blog Crush: To My Wife

Just found this funny (and romantic, but mostly funny) blog To My Wife. Here's a favorite:

SINGING

I sing and sometimes dance                                                                              in the shower. If you’re in there with me,                                                                     please feel free to join in…but just know                                                                         that it happens.

Julep Cup Love

While visiting Monticello, C bought me my first julep cup to kick start my collection. I love the idea of having acquired enough to bring them out and serve a party with them. Even the history behind the mint julep is fun:
"The mint julep originated in the southern United States, probably during the eighteenth century. U.S. Senator Henry Clay of Kentucky introduced the drink to Washington, D.C., at the Round Robin Bar in the famous Willard Hotel during his residence in the city." -Wikipedia

New Shoes

I bought these cutie shoes and couldn't wait for warm weather and a chance to show them off! They accompanied me this past weekend down in Charlottesville, VA and I'll bring them along on this weekend's sailing adventure in Annapolis!
